As the region requires certified environmental management systems from its suppliers, there was a clear need identified. McMillion Agency was then able to quickly create a system that was efficient, stable, value-adding, and easy to administer.

Using the international standard for environmental management systems, ISO 14001:2015, as a guide, McMillion Agency was able to take the customer's material and integrate it with the regional requirements into a practical application of the modern features offered by Microsoft Office 365.

The system that was implemented allows the customer to establish, administer, and follow up on these in an efficient and straightforward manner.

Built on SharePoint Online in Microsoft's Office 365 environment, the system leverages the deep integration with the rest of Medsyn's IT systems and is based on already established organizational structures and roles to manage access and permissions.

Thanks to the customer's existing document archive, the system could be structured according to a hierarchy that was familiar and proven among the users.

Document management is the core of all management systems, and this one utilizes the built-in features of SharePoint in a customer-specific way. Attributes such as type, version, owner, etc., are clearly visible and color-coded for faster identification. Smart features that automatically color-code documents in need of attention make it easier for administrators and document owners. Flows for approval, handling of access at the individual & document level, as well as publishing documents to the system's various pages are some of the functionalities that the system offers.
